Bowmanville Zoo

The six of us went to the Bowmanville Zoo yesterday.
Established in 1919, it is the oldest zoo in North America. It is created on a perfect scale for young children. You can walk the entire zoo in about two hours, stopping to feed the cows, goats, llamas, alpacas and reindeer along the way. Make sure you buy food when you pay for admission as half the fun for the kids is having the animals nibble their fingers.
The 2 pm show was excellent, featuring a kangaroo, a lemur, a lion, a servil, and some horses. We have been a couple of times and would definitely go back soon. The only regret was paying full price for admission whereas a simple online search would have saved me $26. Next time...
