Good Food, Good Friends
Good food and good friends go together like bacon and eggs or fish and chips.
Speaking of fish and chips, I enjoyed a friend's company yesterday over tasty pub grub - battered fish, battered shrimp and caesar salad - the daily special. It has been a good week because the day before I spent time with another school chum of mine over Swiss Chalet chicken.
Every morning when I wake up I thank my lucky stars for my life, my children, my family and my friends. My friends range in age from a low of 26 to a high of 85 and come from varied backgrounds. But all share a warmth of spirit, an easy laugh and a thankfulness for life that I embrace and so appreciate. It is a privilege to call them friends. So many things to be grateful for...
I am savouring another lunch with a good pal this coming week. Good food and good friends...good plan.
