Rainy Day Fun

LEGO...what a fabulous invention. Started in 1949 by a Danish company, LEGO was named the World's Most Powerful Brand in 2015, replacing Ferrari. I can understand why.

While it rained outside, my four children created an entire city complete with apartment buildings, cars, tunnels, parks, a hot air balloon, an airplane, some stores, motorcycles, a few houses, lots of people and a jail. A fully functioning metropolis on our dining room table.

In this age of electronics, I love anything that involves actual building, actual reading of a book, actual playing of a board game...actually doing something in the real or somewhat imaginary world not involving a screen.

I am betting I am not alone. Hence LEGO's almost 70 year run is likely just getting started.
